The Conservators' Center is not a zoo, but a sanctuary. Our keeper staff are highly trained and totally dedicated to our animals. Not only do they have to know each animal personally , they must also train and work with our volunteers to make sure our animals get the very best care. Our keepers have to know and follow the rules set down by USDA for both the animals' and visitors' safety, and they have the responsibility of monitoring both visitor and volunteer activities at the Center.
In addition to making a donation, you can always also volunteer to help our keepers with feeding, cleaning up, and many other activities involving the animals.
