New Education and Visitors' Center

The Chapel Hill Governor's Club Property Owner's Association has generously donated an office building to be moved to our facility and serve as the education and visitors' center.

This donated building will house our gift shop, offices, restrooms, a volunteer area, a kitchen, and even a full sized classroom capable of holding thirty students. The roomy deck outside will be a meeting place for tours and a terrific venue for events.

The building has been moved, reassembled, re-roofed and upgraded to make it as green a building as we can make it. Right now volunteers are hard at work assembling the front deck, painting the interior, and getting ready for the new flooring to be installed. See our progress!

The most important remaining item we need to raise funds for isn't as glamorous, but is critically important-the parking lot area! Please help us by contributing to our building fund as we run the homestretch to occupancy. An air conditioned classroom and flushing toilets are in our near future!
