On a visit to the Conservators' Center, you will meet our animals up close. An experienced tour guide will tell you their individual stories and describe each species and explain its role in its ecosystem. Most of our friendly and curious lions, tigers, and wolves enjoy greeting and observing their visitors. You will be equally enchanted by our smaller species, including binturongs, New Guinea singing dogs, ringtailed lemurs, servals, caracals, bobcats, lynx, and jungle cats. Please note that tour participants are not permitted to touch any of the animals.
Because we have such a small staff, we strongly encourage you to use our online registration system available on our homepage. We greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter.
See Our Scheduled Tour Calendar.
We have recently discovered that we are having some email issues. If you reserved a tour or emailed us more than 48 hours ago and have not received a response, please call us at 336-421-0883. We apologize for any inconvience.
Tours generally last around 1.5 hours, depending on the group's interest level. All tours must be scheduled in advance and require a deposit. We offer tours most Saturdays and Sundays and weekday opportunities are also periodically available.
We invite you to join us for this special one-day event to enjoy our chatty, social residents at a time of day when they are most active. Discover how and why animals communicate with one another, what they have to tell us, and why listening to them is one of the greatest gifts we can experience.
We welcome school and community groups: Scouts, 4-H, and FFA; public schools, private schools, and home schools; and any other groups that are interested in learning about our animals. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more. Groups of 25 or more are guaranteed a private tour that can be tailored to their specific interests.
For those who are interested in photography, this tour offers participants the opportunity to capture great wildlife shots.
This is an ideal option if you prefer an in-depth tour tailored to your interests..

our residents on any given visit. We appreciate your understanding in this
